Shannon Ridge Family of Wines Names Travis Proctor as Winemaker

Lower Lake, CA (February 3, 2021) – Shannon Ridge Family of Wines has announced the appointment of Travis Proctor as Winemaker, effective immediately. Proctor will be responsible for the Shannon Ridge High Elevation Collection, Vigilance, Urgency, Steele, and Shooting Star brands, and will report directly to Joy Merrilees, Director of Winemaking and Production for Shannon Ridge Family of Wines.

Proctor comes to Shannon Ridge following varied winemaking stints at Joe Dobbes Family Estate in Oregon, Terravant Wine Company, a custom crush facility located in Buellton, and Mazzocco Winery in Healdsburg. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.

The Shannon family is committed to preserving their land, not only for the great vineyard sites but also for the bear, elk, mountain lions, eagles and other creatures which live there.
