The Wine Advocate Teams Up With Pix

NEWS RELEASE

NAPA — Robert Parker Wine Advocate, the world’s most trusted wine authority for over 30 years, has announced a partnership with the wine discovery platform, Pix.

When Pix users and subscribers search for wines, they will now have access to Robert Parker Wine Advocate’s extensive set of ratings and reviews.

“The Robert Parker Wine Advocate international team of reviewers selects and reviews the world’s best wines,” said Paul Mabray, founder, and CEO of Pix. “Then we come into play. Pix helps wine lovers locate those bottles quickly and easily, whether they want to pick it up down the street or get it shipped across the country.”

In the future, when subscribers of Robertparker.com click on recommended wines, they will be taken to bottle listings on Pix, which show the product’s availability nationwide, as well as the expert ratings from the Robert Parker Wine Advocate’s world class critics. Pix catalogs one of the largest wine selections on the web. Unlike other platforms, Pix’s bottle searches are complete and transparent – and offered entirely for free.

“We are pleased to start a collaboration with a new online platform such as Pix and offer our customers the ability to easily find the wines that they have been reading about on our platform. As more and more of the wine world is digitalizing, the partnership with Pix enables us to take advantage of new technologies and offer our customers added conveniences and usability, said Nicolas Achard, Chief Executive Officer, Robert Parker Wine Advocate.

Why Pix?

Pix is the world’s first wine discovery platform that makes buying the right wine for the right occasion quick and easy. With a clever wine search engine and curated discovery sets, Pix offers users a seamless way to find wine.

The results include accurate pricing and — coming soon — bottle availability specific to a user’s location. Pix is free to use, for both wine lovers and sellers. The site is paid for by collection and keyword advertising, which will be clearly labeled as such.

“Although more consumers than ever are looking for wines online, they’re not finding the answers they need,” said Paul Mabray. “At the moment, they need to search multiple sites for information about the wine and where to buy it. With Pix as a one-stop find and decide spot, we’ve created the wine site that we personally want to use.”

To educate and engage wine drinkers, Pix also has an editorial arm, The Drop, which showcases the writing of some of the world’s most notable wine writers and experts.
