David McCormack to Join Castle Rock Winery as VP Sales – Central Region

NEWS RELEASE

Castle Rock Winery is pleased to announce the appointment of David McCormack to the position of Vice President, Sales – Central Region with effect from March 1, 2022. He will be based in Chicago and will replace Tom Dempsey, who has elected to retire.

McCormack is currently a Vice President and Key Account Manager at Heritage Wine Cellars, a leading distributor of fine wines and spirits in the State of Illinois. In his twenty-two-year career with Heritage, he has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility and importance. “We are very excited that Dave is joining Castle Rock,” says Company Founder and President Greg Popovich. “He’s a highly talented and experienced sales professional. We have already worked closely with him in building our business in Illinois and we look forward to his continuing success as we seek to grow Castle Rock’s business across the broader mid-west market.”

With a consistent history over nearly 30 years, Castle Rock Winery makes and sells about 350k cases of wine under the Castle Rock and Dressage brands. Its grapes are sourced from several West Coast appellations, ranging from the California Central Coast in the South to Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Washington’s Columbia Valley in the North. The company’s special focus is on Pinot Noir, which represents about two thirds of its production and sales. Under the banner of “Award-winning wines at affordable prices” Castle Rock aims to make and sell wines which are equivalent in quality to wines priced two or three times higher.
