Rippey Family Vineyards Acquires Assets From Baldacci Family

News Release — May 9th, 2022

Napa, Calif. – The Rippey family (Carneros Vintners, Lodi Vintners and Rippey Family Vineyards) has acquired a winery facility and 100-acre vineyard in the Clarksburg area of California.

The property was previously owned by the Baldacci Family Napa and was home to California Cellars.

The vineyards are planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, both varietals with a proven track record in the area. With this investment, the Rippey family has further expanded their portfolio of vineyards and wineries in Northern California, adding to holdings in the Lodi, Napa and Sonoma areas.

“This acquisition follows our long-term strategy of controlling fruit sources for our family label, Rippey Family Vineyards, and our bulk wine contracts” said Tyson Rippey. VP of Operations, Rippey Family Vineyards.

“We have been making wines using grapes from this area for nearly 30 years and know firsthand what an
outstanding region this is for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to lease a winemaking facility and tasting room to the right tenant, in an up-and-coming winegrowing area.”
