Trained For “Saving Lives”: Of 450 Free AEDs, Only 141 Remain. 309 Have Been Placed

NEWS RELEASE

Sebastopol, CA: All California wineries are eligible for preparedness in sustaining employees and guests. It’s an important life-saving plan, in collaboration with the American Red Cross and ZOLL Medical Corporation. Rubin Winery is covering for free the $1,700 cost for one ZOLL AED PLUS (Automated External Defibrillator). In order for a California winery to qualify and receive its ZOLL AED PLUS, winery owners or representatives must contact Ron Rubin (information in footer). Approved qualifications will be promptly contacted by the American Red Cross and given further details.

An Endorsement from Robert Biale Winery

Aline Magee, Assistant GM for Robert Biale Vineyards: Knowing we have multiple members in the winery that have the ability to help in the event of major emergency is comforting, and we can thank Ron Rubin for that!

Why should a winery want its own AED

• Most are located in rural areas, far from medical services.
• Having an AED onsite is lifesaving for guests and staff.
• If the brain doesn’t have oxygen for five minutes, the patient will likely not make it.
• Not only employees, but everyone that visits a winery needs to be protected.

In the sage words of Benjamin Franklin:
“When we fail to plan, we plan to fail.”
