Clos Mimi Loses License To Buy Wine Grapes

Clos Mimi LLC, parent company of Clos Mimi Winery in Santa Maria, has lost its producers license following action by the Market Enforcement Branch of The California Department of Food and Agriculture.

The action was part of the MEB’s July, 2010 enforcement actions.

The action means that Clos Mimi Winery cannot legally buy winegrapes from growers.

From the MEB’s Records:

CLOS MIMI LLC
2342 Bittern Street
Arroyo Grande, CA 93420
License No.: G17097
On June 3, 2010, Clos Mimi LLC (CML) was served with the Accusation,
Statement to Respondent, Request for Discovery, Blank Notice of Defense form,
and Government Codes. CML failed to file a Notice of Defense within the time
specified and therefore waived its right to a hearing. As a result, CML was in
default.
Respondent’s license application under the Processors Law was therefore
revoked effective July 23, 2010.
