Geyser Peak Winery Facing Bankruptcy? Just Rumors Says CEO

Geyser Peak Winery — the last major brand in the Ascentia Wine Estates (AWE) portfolio — has been desperately shopping itself all summer and now faces bankruptcy if a buyer is not found immediately. This according to multiple major wine industry investors.

However, AWE CEO Jim DeBonis told Wine Industry Insight that such talk was the result of rumors. “Geyser Peak is not for sale,” he said. “This has been a very good year for us.”
