Fresno State Valley Berry Sensory Meeting Postponed

The grape berry workshop for growers and students originally planned for Oct. 20 at California State University, Fresno’s Viticulture and Enology Building (2360 E. Barstow Ave.) has been postponed until October 18, 2012, during next year’s harvest season.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, organizers are unable to offer the hands-on evaluation exercise which is a critical component of this workshop, said Jim Kennedy, chair and director of the Department of Viticulture and Enology and Viticulture and Enology Research Center, respectively.

Individuals who have already pre-paid for this workshop may request a refund, or may attend the October 18, 2012 grape berry workshop at no additional charge.

The 2012 workshop will be the third in a three-part series of workshops on berry sensory evaluation presented by the university’s Department of Viticulture and Enology in collaboration with Fresno State’s Viticulture and Enology Research Center and the San Joaquin Valley Winegrowers Association. The workshop series also has support from Constellation Wines and Allied Grape Growers.
