Michel-Schlumberger Sold

Wine Industry Insight had been working on tracking down the buyer since we first wrote about the pending sale of Michel-Schlumberger in August.

But in the news business, if you avert your eyes a bit, other reporters can beat you to the punch. My congrats to the PD’s Cathy Bussewitz for a job well done.

Healdsburg winery Michel-Schlumberger was sold Wednesday to a new company affiliated with the Westlake Village-based Adams Wine Group.

The sale included the Dry Creek Valley winery’s inventory and its 100 acres, which include 65 acres of vineyards, according to Jacques Pierre Schlumberger, who was the majority partner and president before the sale.
