Just Say “NO!” To WinZip

Yesterday, I was dumb enough to BUY a copy of WinZip 16.5, standard edition.

Be warned. Don’t be dumb like me. Just say “no!”

Why?

Because, after I paid and got an activation number, WinZip’s dialogue box that requests that number, would not permit me to enter all the numbers.

I sent WinZip support an email, complete with a screen capture, an email and the email subject: ” Just Bought Wine Zip16.5 … reg window won’t take all of code.”

BRAIN DEAD WINZIP SUPPORT: EPIC FAIL … TWICE (SO FAR)

So, after describing the problem in detail, I get an email from WinZip support that reads:

“The activation code you have provided is still not used. Please activate your WinZip with this activation code.”

DUH! DUUUUUUUUU-UH! The activation code was not used since the WinZip dialogue box would not allow me to enter the full code.

I sent another request, asking that someone actually read my email and respond to the problem.

WinZip sent the SAME EMAIL again.

JUST SAY “NO!” TO WINZIP!

I’m giving up and will contact my credit card company and initiate a chargeback for getting crap and a non-response.
