U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Alan Jaroslovsky ordered that the Barrel Stop Winery bankruptcy be converted to Chapter 7 from Chapter 11. The order, signed on Sept. 17, also requires a trustee to be appointed to oversee the liquidation.
According to the winery’s August operating report (available to Wine Executive News premium subscribers), Barrel Stop has lost more than $1.7 million since it filed for Chapter 11 on July 28, 2011.
