WineGavel Battling Remy Cointreau & Multiple Other Lawsuits

WineGavel, the four-year-old online and live auction company, continues to struggle with lawsuits and angry customers.

In the year since Wine Industry Insight first broke the story of the company’s troubles (Final Hammer Dropping On WineGavel?) we have learned of at least seven lawsuits against Bridgeview Enterprises — dba WineGavel — and its various employees, owners and officials.

Those lawsuits, of which six are still active (according to court documents and records), have been filed by customers whose court documents allege that WineGavel has not paid them, not accounted for wine sold or not returned unsold wine.

In addition, WineGavel’s former auction coordinator recently won a California Labor Commission judgment in Napa County Superior Court for more than $10,000 in unpaid wages.
