Carneros Vintners Buys Its Facility From Entertainment Properties Trust
Carneros Vintners has purchased its million-gallon custom crush facility in southern Sonoma County which it has been leasing from Entertainment Properties Trust (NYSE:EPR). Carneros Vintners, Inc. is a division of The Vintners Group of Lodi founded by Dennis Rippey.
The sale/leaseback venture is one of the few wine-related ventures that hasn’t turned into a financial bloodbath for EPR. (For background on that, see: EPR Losing Millions On Wineries & Vineyards It Can’t Sell and other articles, below.)
