Sometimes The Early Bird Misses The Worm

Congratulations to Steve Heimoff who has made the transition from ink-and-digital-stained wretch to Director, Wine Communications & Education at Jackson Family Wines. See Short and simple: I have a new job for more details.

This move is great for Steve because he now has the opportunity to earn closer to what his awesome talents really merit. It also offers him a great escape from the Internet’s continuing nose dive into paying less, less (and nothing) for quality news and other solid content.

Steve’s site was one of those I checked religiously for news every morning around 4:30 a.m. when I begin my daily work on News Fetch. Steve’s was also one of the very last sites I checked, just to make sure I could get his posts into that day’s email edition.

Sadly, today’s edition went out at 6:47 a.m., right before Steve posted the news release that Jackson Family Wines never sent me.

Sometimes the early bird does miss the worm.
