CUDERA USA RELEASES THE FIRST PREMIUM BEER WITH NAPA VALLEY GRAPE MUST

For the first time a premium beer has been brewed with the finest Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon grape must. The line is blurred between the finest of craft beers and the most prized of Napa Valley wines with a project that delivers the combined passions of Etienne Hunyady of Bolgheri, Tuscany, Jan-Erik Paino of Ruhstaller Brewery in Sacramento, California and M. F. Dunn of Oakville, California.

After spending a decade in the United States, Hunyady returned home to Tuscany inspired by the American craft beers he discovered and loved so much. He decided to brew the first Cudera with must from the famous Bolgheri wine region where Hunyady’s family produces cabernet sauvignon based wines. The Hunyady’s have been growers and winemakers of note in both Tuscany and Hungary for many generations, so blending grape must with beer was an obvious choice.

Hunyady’s longtime friend and wine business insider M.F. Dunn of Oakville, California is the man behind Cudera USA. Dunn searches out grapes from only the most highly regarded Napa Valley vineyards to provide Cudera with the unique must component for its American produced and California crafted beer.

After an extensive search was completed, Jan-Erik Paino of Ruhstaller Brewery in Sacramento, California, was the brewer of choice for his commitment to using the highest quality ingredients in his small production beers and growing much of his own hops.
