What’s Up With The Kurniawan Sentencing? These Court Docs Tell Part Of The Story

I have been running links about the Kurniawan case in News Fetch for some months now. As you have been reading, sentencing has been delayed time and again. Final sentencing was supposed to have been set on Aug. 4.

But so far, still nothing.

I was curious, so this morning — while creating today’s News Fetch — decided to take a look at the court documents. What I found was  surprising, revealing and interesting.

I have not had time to absorb the following documents (still have to get today’s  News Fetch finished) so I offer them in the raw, for you to read.

• Judge’s order regarding the $20 million file PLUS a list of property to be forfeited to the U.S. Government … including wine, fine artworks, chandeliers, way expensive watchdes (Patek Philippe etc.).

• A letter from Kurniawan’s attorney regarding how to interpret values (and referencing testimony from Maureen Downey).

• A letter from the U.S. Attorney on who really is a victim, (referencing Acker Merrill).
