napaearthquake.com Is Moving … To Napa Valley Vintners

The domain, napaearthquake.com is moving to the Napa Valley Vintners on Friday.

Right now it points to http://wineindustryinsight.com/forums/ — the “Volunteer or Provide Free or At-Cost Goods For Quake-Hit Wine Businesses” help forum we set up Sunday morning.

I grabbed napaearthquake.com as soon as I saw trolls trying to hijack #napaearthquake on Twitter. I didn’t want that domain to be posting ISIS beheading videos or V!aGRA.

Yesterday, I donated the paid-up domain to NVV who will use it as they expand their earthquake resources site.

The NVV will put a prominent link to the volunteer help forum for the many people who have Tweeted, Re-Tweeted and posted the napaearthquake.com link to the help forum.

And just to avoid any confusion: On Friday, napaearthquake.com will direct traffic to: http://napavintners.com/earthquake/.

NOTE: EXPERIENCED VOLUNTEERS ONLY

If you post a “help ready” volunteer post, please make sure that you have wine industry experience in the task you are willing to perform. There are dangers in the warehouse, cellar and barrel room especially.
