Please see related article: Cameron Hughes Wine Forced Into Receivership, Sale/Merger Likely
Cameron Hughes’ reference in his statement to “factual errors” referred to a statement in the premium version of the original article published by Wine Executive News.
Wine Executive News originally wrote: “The receiver’s first inventory, dated April 23, shows case and finished goods worth more than $135K and bulk inventory $118,465. It also showed a bank cash balance of 1,063,798 and accounts receivable of $1.435,773.”
Hughes noted in an email to WII: “[O]ur case goods inventory is not $135K but rather 135,000 cases of wine and bulk wine is not $118K but 118,000 gallons.”
Wine Industry Insight misread the tiny type on the list in the receiver’s inventory report and misinterpreted the identity of the number.
We regret the error and have noted that here and in the body of the original article.
