While the $819 billion stimulus package recently passed by the U.S. House of Representatives is packed with enough pork to use up the global supply of sausage casings for a decade, it has snubbed the “alcohol and other drugs”industry.
The National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) and 150 other organizations are miffed that their $100 million request for Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grants was denied.
