Former American Vintners Association President Bob Kalik has died

KL_12_Lawyer_Bio_BobRobert G. “Bob” Kalik, the former President of American Vintners Association (Now WineAmerica), has died.

 

Kalik who represented numerous beverage alcohol producers, importers, and distributors over the years passed away last Sunday.

 

In addition to his role at he AVA, Kalik was a founder of the World Wine Trade Group. Bob played a critical role in the revival of FIVS in the mid-1990s, and was actively involved for many years, according to a FIVS colleague.

 

A former colleague informed Wine Industry Insight Kalik’s this morning that Kalik died June 12.

 

We could not find a formal obituary, but his memorial page can be found at this link: Robert Gary Kalik.

 

According to his law firm biography, Kalik also represented a large number of beverage alcohol producers, importers and distributors. He has represented companies and trade groups in domestic and foreign anti-dumping, safeguard, and subsidies proceedings, in international treaty negotiations, in government investigations and in litigation before U.S. and foreign agencies and courts.
