Christine Thomson Promoted to Wine Club and Tasting Room Manager at VML Russian River Winery

NEWS RELEASE

(HEALDSBURG, Calif.) – Phil Hurst, president and CEO of Sonoma County’s
Truett-Hurst Inc., announced this week that Christine Thomson has been
promoted from assistant tasting wine club manager to tasting room and wine
club manager their VML Winery facility on Westside Road.

Thomson will continue to report to CEO Hurst in her new capacity. She has
been with the public company since 2011.

Hurst commented that “in her five years with the company Christine has shown
an aptitude for superior customer service and a real connection with our
valued wine club members..  It made sense to put her in charge of all club
and tasting room activities to see us through the transition to our new
facility.”

The VML Winery facility was recently purchased by Napa’s Huneeus Vintners.
After the 2016 harvest, the VML tasting room, along with winemaker Virginia
Marie Lambrix, will move to the Dry Creek Valley Estate that is also home to
the Truett Hurst tasting room.

Thomson has a long history in customer service and hospitality from Bucca di
Beppo in San Diego, the Fairmont Hotel in Sonoma and the San Francisco
Giants Public House.  She attended San Diego State and earned her nursing
license in Sacramento. She grew up in Sonoma County and said that she’s
excited about developing a new winery home in Dry Creek Valley where she can
continue to interact with loyal VML wine club customers.  “The quality of
Virginia’s wines just keeps enticing more club members to join,” she said.

Thomson developed a passion for culture, people and the environment while
living and working in Fiji, where she explored the reefs and villages and
worked in a dive shop monitoring and recording reef and fish health.
