Treasury Wine’s St. Clement Sale: This is what Hunneus paid & the details of what they bought

Kudos to Wine Business for bScreen Shot 2016-11-21 at 3.34.48 PMeating us to the punch: Huneeus Vintners Buys Napa Valley’s St. Clement Vineyards From Treasury Wine Estates.

We sat on this story while getting the sale price and exactly what the purchaser actually bought. We have that data now, but when you sit, you get beat! Well done, WB!

At any rate, Treasury Wine Estates sold St. Clement Vineyards in St. Helena to Huneeus Vintners on October 28,  according to documents filed with Napa County.

It’s worth noting that the sale includes not only the tasting room (as mentioned by Wine Business), but also winery production equipment (somewhat dated), and a killer tasting room visitor allowance that would be nearly impossible to obtain in Napa Valley given current regulations. In addition, its permitted visitor limit ranks as the 62nd largest of the 509 wineries in Napa County.

The sale figure in the premium stated in the premium version is for the real estate only and does not include intellectual property, inventory or other assets.
