NEWS RELEASE: Building a Model Wine: The 11th U.S. Wine Marketing Exchange to be Held March 31st in Napa

Napa Valley, CA (March 21, 2017) – What does the successful wine brand of tomorrow look like? How can you build a strategy for marketplace success?

Each year, Nomacorc and Vinventions bring together some of the wine
industry’s top leaders and influencers to exchange new thoughts and ideas on topics like this, and to discuss current and future trends for marketing and selling wine.

The Exchange is an internationally-organized event hosted in multiple
countries throughout the year by Nomacorc and Vinventions. The theme of this year’s U.S. event is Building a Model Wine: Putting together performance, design and sustainability for marketplace success. It will be held on March 31 at the Carneros Resort in Napa and is currently sold out; waitlist registration, however, is open for this event and will also be used to expand invitations to next year’s event.

Every wine marketing Exchange draws on insights from top marketing minds, from both within and outside the wine industry. Speakers and participants share their expertise across a wide range of important issues facing winery owners, marketers and sales teams. For example, the most recent Exchange, held earlier this month in Madrid, Spain, focused on the art of storytelling as a tool for differentiation in the marketplace.

“From consumer insights to packaging design and innovation, retailer and
distributor strategies, to branding trends and tactics, The Exchange
provides our industry with a fresh approach for addressing the common-and even not-so-common-questions we all face in our quest to successfully market and sell wine,” says Mary Jo Dale, Vinventions’ Marketing Director for the Americas.

This year’s panel of wine industry veterans will be moderated by Dr. William Silver, Dean of the School of Business & Economics at Sonoma State University, and will offer consumer insights, trends in sustainability, innovations in packaging and best practices for success at retail. The speakers for the day include:

  • Dr. William Silver, Dean of the School of Business & Economics,
    Sonoma State University
  • Terry Creaturo, Adult Beverage Coordinator, Kroger
  • Karissa Kruse, President, Sonoma County Winegrowers
  • Rob McMillan, EVP & Founder, Wine Division, Silicon Valley Bank
  • Kevin Shaw, Founder and Creative Director, Stranger & Stranger
  • Malcolm Thompson, Chief Innovation Officer, Vinventions

Access to The Exchange is by invitation only and is open to senior wine
marketers and wine business leaders. Guests who wish to register for the
event waitlist or find out more about this year’s topics and speakers may do so on the event page: http://www.nomacorc.com/a-model-wine/.

About The Exchange
The Exchange is a wine marketing forum organized and brought to you by
Nomacorc | Vinventions. Now sponsoring our eleventh event, we bring together marketing leaders from across the wine industry to discuss current and future trends in selling and marketing wine. Mostly, however, it’s an opportunity to connect with others in our field to share ideas and grow as individuals. While we focus on wine, we draw thought-leaders from many industries for their varied perspectives. We also invite select suppliers to participate in panel discussions or for presentations. Access to our events is by invitation only and we limit attendance to foster as much dialog and attendee participation as possible. See more at: http://www.nomacorc.com/a-model-wine/.
