Linda Trotta Joins Jamieson Ranch Vineyards As New Winemaker

NEWS RELEASE, AUG. 29, 2017

 

Novato, Calif. – Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is pleased to announce the
appointment of Linda Trotta as winemaker for Jamieson Ranch Vineyards,

where she will be responsible for the Double Lariat and Reata brands.

 

Linda brings three decades of winemaking experience to her new role,
including a 20-year tenure at Gundlach Bundschu Winery, where she became
Director of Winemaking. In 2010, she joined Swiftwater Cellars in Washington
State, a new winery where she had the opportunity to build their winemaking
program from the ground up. In addition to these leadership roles in
winemaking, Linda has worked harvests around the world, including Italy,
South Africa and Chile, and she counts luminaries as Zelma Long and Phil
Freese among her mentors. She has also managed estate vineyards and worked
with long-time grower partners throughout key wine regions in various
appellations within California and Washington.

expertise at the helm. She is known for crafting wines of elegance and
balance, and brings extensive experience with vineyard sourcing and grower
relations. I’m confident she’s the right person to move Jamieson Ranch
Vineyards into its next phase.”

 

Linda has earned degrees in Enology from UC Davis, and in Italian Art
History from Universita` degli Studi di Padova. She has held leadership
roles with Women for Winesense and Washington Wine Technical Group, and
currently with the organization Wine Women. Linda is a regular speaker at
industry events and her written work appears frequently in trade magazines.
In addition, Linda serves as a judge in many wine competitions throughout
the country.
