Wine Industry Insight/News Fetch wine review policy

Most wines reviewed in News Fetch’s popular “Wine of the Day” feature are purchased by the editors with their own funds. We do get an occasional bottle from wineries.

 

Wines that we buy get the review they deserve regardless of whether they are a rant or a rave. We feel this reflects the average consumer experience.

 

Because we only publish five wines per week, we have limited opportunities for reviews. For that reason, we simply do not review wines we dislike when they were sent by wineries

 

All wines identify the source of the wine — either the retail outlet where purchased or from the winery. All carry the price paid or the Suggested Retail Price (SRP) unless they were gifts from family or personal (non-winery) friends.
