Pacific Highway Wines Sets New Renwood Plans in Motion

NEWS RELEASE

Renwood Ranch Vineyard Focus and Regional Wine Projects Coming Soon

GREENSBORO, NC (January 25, 2019)  Ren Acquisition Inc. today announces that it is relocating Renwood’s winemaking to another facility and has sold the current production site and tasting room in Amador County to Rombauer Vineyards. The Renwood wine brand and the 453-acre Renwood Ranch property, including a 135-acre premium vineyard, will remain under Ren Acquisiton Inc.’s ownership and under sales and marketing management by Pacific Highway Wines & Spirits.

Mark Giordano, President Pacific Highway Wines noted, “Renwood wines offer a wonderful piece of California history and to focus the brand around four very distinguished skus and the opportunities of the Renwood Ranch property offers an excellent path to the future of the brand.”

The new direction for Renwood brand will be a focused collection of modern wines. Alberto Antonini continues to drive the viticulture and winemaking vision and works closely with award-winning winemaker Joe Shebl, who oversees the wine production. Renwood wines are sourced from the 135 acres of vines on the larger 453-acre Renwood Ranch property and from cherished, long-term growers in Fiddletown. Four offerings are the driving force of the brand in the US: Renwood Premier Old Vine Zinfandel (SRP $19.99), Renwood Fiddletown Zinfandel (SRP $24.99), Renwood California Zinfandel (SRP $14.99) and a separate red blend known as The Cleaver (SRP $19.99).

“The three Zinfandels capture the essence of Renwood, Joe’s winemaking mastery, and the terroir of Amador County.  The Cleaver project shows Joe’s blending style to reach deep into the old vine vineyard sections to create a great value and beautiful Red Blend”, commented Rick Durette, VP Sales, Pacific Highway Wines. “Along with these current offerings, there are new plans and projects in the pipeline and we look forward to rolling them out next year. The old and the new with Renwood exemplifies what Zinfandel offers in a powerful grape and elegant red wine.”
