What’s Free? What’s Not?

Most things here are free.

The email editions, which go out about twice a week, are free and will always be free.

This site has two parts, Wine Industry Insight (where you’re reading this) and the VIP Content Center.

My original, major, investigative and in-depth pieces are mostly for subscribers. It takes days and days to do most of these. You can read a summary, but need to subscribe for the full article.

SOURCE DOCUMENTS IN THE DATA CELLAR

In addition, subscribers can get full access to source materials, spreadsheets and other documents and files that I use to write the pieces.

Those pieces are always in the Data Cellar which is a searchable database of the documents and files.

You can read all the free parts and get the email-editions free until the cows come home (which is more than just a trite phrase here in Sonoma)

If you decide that there’s enough interesting, useful, productive or amusing material in the VIP Content Center, then you can subscribe monthly by credit card: $5.99 for the first month and $9.99 for each month after that.
