In 2014, The United States was the world’s largest importer of wine, spending €4.03 Billions.
The Euro averaged somewhere above $1.33 for 2014 which means that the United States imported wine worth more than $5.36 billion.
By contrast, the United States exported wine worth $1.49 billion making for a wine trade deficit of more than $3.77 billion.
