An online post blasting organic farming — If You Buy Organic Wine, You May Be Funding Far More Soil Damage — comes from a pseudo-scientific group that is funded by a wide variety of corporate donors and chemical companies including the manufacturer of Round Up.

 

The graphic, below, is a screen capture of one page from a leaked finance document (PDF) from the American Council on Science and Health (ACSH).

This leaked document was sent to several other media organizations about five years ago.

 

It was received by Lewis Perdue in late 2014, not long after he and Becca Yeamans-Irwin founded the Stealth Syndromes Project. Because the Stealth Syndromes Project focuses on science and not on the various public interest groups, this document was not core to our work.

 

There are problems with organic standards, primarily from the dilution of USDA standards by large food producers.
